We’re mad as Hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!
On September 24th, Anti-Poverty Network will be taking action against the government’s implementation of the cashless welfare card.
The purpose of this proposed system will serve as a means of controlling and taxing the spending of Centrelink recipients. This would have a massively negative impact on everyone from families to local businesses – starting with the most vulnerable in our community. In fact, the only ones standing to benefit from this scheme are the rich arseholes in charge.
We have tried petitioning and talking to politicians, but they won’t listen. So on 24th September, we will be telling the government: Enough is enough!
We will start the day at the Indue office in Toowong and be paying visits to various grubs around the city as the day goes on to let them know what we think of them. We are calling for people in all areas of struggle to join us in rampaging against the cruelty of the state.
We will no longer tolerate the war on the poor!
